National Engineering School of Monastir

The National Engineering School of Monastir or ENIM, is a Tunisian engineering school based in the city of Monastir located in the east of Tunisia. It is part of the University of Monastir and has four independent departments:
• Mechanical engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Textile engineering
• Energy engineering

Textile engineering education

The creation of the textile department is the result of extensive consultation with Tunisian industrials. The education is oriented to applications in the textile industry and to the modern disciplines such as computer science, automation and robotics as well as human sciences and languages. The openings concern various jobs in the textile industry:
• Spinning
• Weaving
• Knitting
• Clothing and apparel
• Textile finishing
• Textile machinery manufacturing
• Quality control
• Textiles sales

Education is also interested to other textile areas such as high performance fibers, composites, paper, dyes, water treatment, upholstery, and automobile.

Admission to ENIM requires a diploma of preparatory cycle for engineering schools (2 years education after secondary school). Candidates pass a competitive exam to join the engineering school. The duration of textile engineering education is three years including two trainings in textile industry and a six months graduation project.

Students can choose one of the following options :

• Industrial clothing
